LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — As open enrollment nears for 2026, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that state officials have secured that premiums for health insurance in the state will increase by a weighted average of 22.1%.

Sanders announced Friday that negotiated insurance increase rates are down by 35.8%, after initial proposals for the rates were as high as 54.2%.

Gov. Sanders claimed that healthcare costs are "growing out of control" and shared that her administration is working to expand access and lower costs associated with healthcare costs.
