CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Higher Education Policy Commission has given final approval for changes to the contract of Fairmont State University President Mike Davis.
The HEPC gave its approval Friday during an online meeting.
The FSU BOG voted in August to increase Davis’ pay from $295,000.00 to $310,000.00, an approximate increase of 5% increase. Upon completion of the five-year contract, the FSU Foundation will pay a $30,000.00 presidential retention incentive.
The BOG also approved increases in recruitment and retention incentives from a maximum of $20,000.00 per year to $25,000.00 per year; the fundraising incentive from a maximum of $10,000.00 per year to $25,000.00 per year; and a new incentive for reputation not to exceed $12,500.00 per year.
