The Leake County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Andrew Robinson, who is now in custody following a significant drug investigation and search warrant execution on Old Salem Road.

The arrest, which occurred at 8:22 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, was the result of several weeks of surveillance and multiple traffic stops conducted by Leake County investigators and deputies under the leadership of Sheriff Randy W. Atkinson. The operation was supported by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

During the search, authorities seized: • 842.7 grams (1.85 pounds) of methamphetamine – enough to account for more than 8,400 felony charges if distributed, as possession of just 0.1 gram is a felony offense.
