Police arrested a 24-year-old Tupelo man after two people were shot outside a local restaurant and bar Sunday night.

Officers were called to Holland’s Bar and Grill, 3952 North Gloster Street, on Sunday, September 21, for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found two men in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to North Mississippi Medical Center for treatment.

Responding officers quickly identified a suspect, who was located nearby and taken into custody. After further investigation, detectives charged 24-year-old Chance M. Brown, of Tupelo, with two counts of aggravated assault.

On Monday, September 22, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Brown held without bond. Police said the case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
