TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Seasonally adjusted unemployment rates are modified rates that account for regular changes in employment throughout the year, such as the holiday season.

Idaho’s rate stayed the same between July and August at 3.7%, according to a release from the Idaho Department of Labor.

The workforce in August decreased by 627 people to 1,009,419. The proportion of Idahoans in the labor force who are aged 16 and younger or are looking for work decreased by 0.1% to 63.1%.

Unfortunately, total employment decreased by 778 to 972,377, and unemployment increased by 151 to 37,042.

In addition to changes in employment numbers, non-farm jobs increased by 200 for a total of 881,900. The industry with the largest increase was accommodation and food services at 1.7%. The lowest
