MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - One person is injured and an investigation is underway after an SUV smashed into a Smoothie King on Friday afternoon.

The Murfreesboro Police Department said officers responded to the location on Middle Tennessee Boulevard after a 19-year-old crashed into the building.

The driver reportedly hit the gas instead of the brake, launching the SUV through the front of the smoothie shop.

MPD responded to Smoothie King on Middle TN Blvd. after a 19-year-old driver hit the gas instead of the brake, striking the building.
