CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The man originally charged with murder in an east Charlotte shooting on Tuesday morning is now facing a second charge.
Francisco Lopez-Tadeo was accused of shooting and killing Tavares Phifer behind the Dollar Tree Plaza on Albemarle Road on Tuesday, Sept. 16. A woman was also shot and seriously injured.
Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they identified the second person shot. Lopez-Tadeo was then charged with attempted murder in addition to his original first-degree murder charge.
Lopez-Tadeo was denied bond.
