Scotland under-21 cap Rory Wilson has made his long-awaited comeback after almost a year out. ‌

The 19-year-old came off the bench and played more than 20 minutes for Aston Villa ’s under-21s. ‌

The young Villains won 3-2 away to Everton in their English Premier League Two fixture. ‌

Wilson’s return is good news for club and country.

The teenager had been sidelined because of a troublesome ankle injury, which has now been fully resolved.

Wilson is one of the best young talents south of the border. ‌

The striker was rewarded with a bumper contract extension back in April

Villa moved to fend off interest from several top European clubs to agreed a deal that will keep him in the Midlands until the summer of 2027.
