AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A local group is receiving help with a big grant.

The ReNForce Redemption House supports women with housing, workforce development and healing services so they can re-enter society successfully.

The nonprofit received a $40k grant from Lowe’s in July to transform its outdoor space.

On Friday, some Lowe’s employees and community members volunteered to help with the renovation.

Specifically, they built a pergola for the women who live in the redemption house, as well as building garden boxes and a fence.
