A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Airdrie.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Hamilton Drive at around 12.15am on Thursday, September 18, following reports that two men had been found injured. A 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second man, a 27-year-old, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. Police probing the death are now treating it as a 'murder'.
Officers say that support is being provided to the friends and family of the man. Detectives are now asking anyone with information to come forward and assist with their investigation.
