RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A suspect was arrested Friday in connection with two shootings in southeast Raleigh earlier this week that left one victim dead and another hurt, police said.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the first shooting happened on Monday just after 4 a.m. in the 100 block of Coke Street. Officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 6 a.m., less than two hours later, officers responded to the second shooting about a half mile away in the 1600 block of Poole Road. Another man, 55-year-old Willis Hope, was also found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
