CAREY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A local fresh food market grows a little bit of everything year-round to provide healthy choices for residents.

Tara’s Market and Garden opened this past April along Main Street in Carey. Tara Hansen, the market’s owner, provides local fresh food, a goal she has wanted to achieve for quite a long time.

“It’s been kind of a passion of mine to be able to turn it into something that I am able to help other people, and provide healthy, fresh, local food for people is a big deal for me,” said Hansen.

The market grows everything from tomatoes and kale to pumpkins and squash.

“I have a huge variety of things that we grow in there, and we’ll be able to grow year-round because we have a heated greenhouse, so we can produce those local fresh things year-round, which I’
