Huntsville drivers should anticipate delays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday on some major roadways and Interstate 565 due to the 32nd annual Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride, according to police.
The Huntsville Police Department Traffic Services Unit will support participants of the event as they travel through the city.
Police say the ride is expected to arrive at Huntsville city limits around 9 a.m., which is when roads along the route will start closing. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers will escort participants west on U.S. 72 and Interstate 565 to the Greenbrier Parkway exit, where riders will stop for a lunch break at Redstone Harley-Davidson until noon. After lunch, the procession will continue north on Mooresville Road to U.S. 72.
Roads will reopen as each secti
