Steven Pressley has confirmed that Kieran O’Hara was a top Dundee target even when the transfer window was open. ‌

The Dark Blues snapped up for the former Republic of Ireland international as a free agent earlier this week. ‌

The 29-year-old will now provide competition and fight it out with Jon McCracken and Trevor Carson for the No. 1 spot at Dundee. ‌

Pressley admitted that O’Hara, who had been at Manchester United, Fleetwood, Colchester and Burton Albion before he left Kilmarnock in the summer, has been on his radar for several weeks, since Ross County had previously declared an interest in Carson, before the player knocked a move to the Highlands back.
