The Fontana Planning Commission recently held a public hearing for a major development project — the erection of a new medical complex. The motion passed with a unanimous vote from the commissioners.

“I’m hoping that we get a favorable outcome tonight, and we’re open to any questions that you may have relating to the project,” said Jeffrey Pierson of Unitex Management Corp. “We were scheduled to be in front of you in May of ’24, but we ran into traffic and engineering issues. We finally got the conditions of approval that planning has put together with engineering and with traffic and we are here tonight.”

A plan for the construction of a warehouse facility was originally intended for discussion at the Sept. 16 planning commission meeting as well, but will be re-noticed for Tuesday, Oct.
