FOXBOROUGH – In the NFL, the key is to improve every week.
The Patriots did that last weekend in their win over the Miami Dolphins. Although the team was riding high this week, players and coaches also know there’s still room for improvement.
On defense, the Patriots missed too many tackles in their 33-27 victory. That’s one reason why the focus on Sunday will be on linebackers like Robert Spillane and Christian Elliss.
“Every week, I’m going to tell you I’m looking to get better,” Spillane told MassLive. “Win, lose, or draw, that’s the name of the game in this league to continue to get better and prepare for the playoffs. That’s our end goal. You always want to be getting better. I think we’ve done a great job of that so far.”
