I got an interesting question in the Blazer’s Edge Mailbag this week. I’m going to answer it more fully on Monday, but in the meantime I’m going to share it with you. The basic gist of it is this: which Portland Trail Blazers player is the most pivotal and/or important to the team’s success this season?

Full disclosure: I read that question on Tuesday and I’m still waffling on it so hard that my pores are oozing syrup and butter. I think I could name a half-dozen players for various reasons.

That’s why I want to hear your opinion before I address it. I’ve already simplified the matter and we’ll narrow it down further. Just answer this: Which Trail Blazers player will you be watching with the most interest this season and why?
