WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The nonprofit Girls, Inc. is preparing its obstacle course ahead of Saturday's annual Muddy Mamma's Fun Run, the signature fundraising event known for being challenging but fun.
Girls, Inc. helps girls engage in the community with after-school and summertime activities.
"We encourage them to grow up strong, smart and bold," Rae Tucker, development director of Girls, Inc., said. "Physically, mentally and to be academically successful."
Tucker said there will be 18 muddy obstacles.
The first wave kicks off Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Center.
