SAN ANTONIO — Multiple airports in the Dallas/Fort Worth area – including the flagship DFW Airport – are contending with an external "equipment issue" forcing delays for hundreds of Friday flights , as well as some cancellations.

The impact is trickling down to other cities, including San Antonio, where some outgoing flights to the DFW area have been cancelled, according to the San Antonio International Airport's (SAT) flight board . Some that were scheduled to depart earlier in the afternoon have left, but it's unknown if they'll be able to land there or if they'll be diverted.
