FORT GORDON, Ga. (WJBF) - Fort Gordon honored those who never returned home from war at its annual Prisoner of War and Missing in Action Recognition Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025.

The ceremony honors those who lost their lives and those who remain missing.

"We should never forget those who have fought for same who have, and especially those who didn't come home," said Leon McLamb, GA Capt. Patriot Guard Riders: "I missed by several hours being with eight of my buddies who were captured during Vietnam and they didn't, they were not that long. They came home in about ten months, but, you know, it's it's always held very dear to my since then and a lot of significance."
