The Smith Golden Eagles travel to Greensboro to take on the Western Guilford Hornets Friday night for both teams' first 6A conference game of the season. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
Smith (1-2) looks to get back on track after a 16-14 loss to Andrews last week that came to an abrupt ending after a player threw a punch at a referee. The Golden Eagles have lost seven road games in a row, dating back to last season, and will attempt to change course this week.
Western Guilford's record sits at 3-1. Last Friday, the Hornets won their third-straight game, defeating Thomasville 28-14.
