AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF) - Seeing colorful things at an arts festival isn't a surprise, but this is different.
“I love what I'm seeing! The creativity is just great. I love the colors and everything I think everybody should come and check it out,” said Kimberly Hughes.
It's bombs away at the 9th Street entrance to Arts in the Heart. It's called “yarn bombing”, the street art practice of decorating trees with fibers.
“It's not actually affecting any of the trees, we put it up very safely, we take it down very safely. It's here for the week after the festival, as well,” said Heather Dunaway, who coordinated the yarn bombing for Arts in the Heart.
