Thursday night saw the Yankees begin a series against the Orioles, and do so in very good fashion. Thanks to 13 strikeouts and seven shutout innings from Max Fried, the Yankees mostly cruised past Baltimore, and did even gain a game in the AL East standings in the process. Tonight, they’ll hope to repeat all that in game two of the weekend set.

For tonight’s game, the Yankees will send Will Warren to the mound. Warren has had his ups and downs this year, and is coming in off a down, having gotten hit pretty had by the Red Sox in a six-run first inning last time out. That being said, he was quite decent the last time he faced this O’s team, holding them to two runs on six hits across 6.1 innings on June 22nd in the Bronx.
