The driver of a BMW was injured when it crashed into two homes Friday afternoon in View Park, authorities said.

Fire crews received the call at approximately 12:52 p.m. at the 5300 block of S. Verdun Avenue. Upon arrival, they noticed the vehicle had crashed into two structures.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said neither resident was home at the time of the accident.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is handling the investigation.
