SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) - The 32nd Spartanburg Greek Festival is back and ready to show visitors a piece of Greek culture.
While the festival is split partly inside and outside, food meets you at every corner.
Outside, visitors can try the classic gyro sandwich or a Greek donut, while walking around the bookstore or Greek Market.
On one half of the room inside, visitors can try chicken, souvlaki, or pastichio platters; greek salads, tiropita and spanakopita, and more. On the other side await traditional pastries, like Baklava, almond crescents, and Greek orange cake.
While working at The Grill, Melina Perez explained her favorite food from the festival.
"My favorite food is actually the dolmathes, those are grape leaves from the grape vines that have meats and rice wrapped in them,"
