DYER — Police on Friday night said several agencies had responded to a crash scene on U.S. Highway 30 and asked the public to avoid the area "for the next few hours."

Details about the crash have yet to be shared by officials. The Dyer Police Department said in a statement late Friday the crash occurred in the 100 block of U.S. 30, just over the state line and near Franciscan Health.

The statuses of any individuals involved in the crash were not made clear, and the Dyer Police Department was not available for comment Friday night.
