After weeks of chaos, Ashley football can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
For the second straight game, Ashley has a win. This time, the Screaming Eagles traded the one-possession nail-biters that marked the first four weeks of the season for a 24-6 victory over Topsail to open conference play on Sept. 19 in Wilmington.
"The kids are just fighting," Ashley coach Dante Lombardi said. "This one we can enjoy a little bit."
