RICHLAND – Bill Belton preached one thing that his Winslow Township High School football team needed to do to get back on track.

“It’s just going to work, not talking, not playing the social media games and all of that stuff,” the head coach said. “Just go to work, nothing else is important.”

The top-ranked Eagles did just that, taking care of business as they began their defense of the West Jersey Football League American Division title with a workmanlike 19-6 win at No. 2 St. Augustine on Friday night.

Winslow (2-2) is still a work in progress, but there were definitely signs that the Eagles remain the top public school in the Garden State.
