CLEVELAND, Ohio — Highland’s offense kept rolling as the Hornets defeated Copley 42-9 Friday night.

Highland, ranked eighth in this week’s cleveland.com Top 25, improves to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Suburban Conference play. With the loss, the Indians fall to 3-2, 1-1.

Highland got off to a quick start and never looked back. The scoring started early with a 39-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Grady Gibb to junior receiver Jake Weber to put the Hornets up 7-0.

“Coming out on the road and establishing dominance was key,” said Highland head coach Mike Gibbons following the win. “We made some mistakes in the second half that we need to clean up, but overall, proud of the guys.”
