HANOVER TWP. — First the good about Berwick’s 56-19 victory Friday night against Hanover Area.

Running back Ty’Meere Wilkerson became the first player this season to reach 1,000 yards rushing with a 265-yard, five-TD performance. The Dawgs also recorded their first interception and first kick return touchdown.

Now for the bad. There was a kick return TD negated by a penalty. Penalties as a whole were too prevalent and occassionally interrupted continuity. And a fumble led to a Hanover Area score when the game was still close.

Those mistakes didn’t factor in Berwick improving to 2-0 in Division 2 of the Wyoming Valley Conference and 5-0 overall. But with unbeaten Wyoming Area paying a visit next Friday, those same miscue could be difficult to overcome.
