WHEELING, W.Va. — On Brennan Wack’s first two carries of Friday night’s game against University, the Wheeling Park tailback was brought down for a 1-yard loss and stopped at the line of scrimmage.
From that point forward, the Class AAAA No. 1 Hawks had next to no luck slowing down one of the state’s top players. Wack rushed for 205 of his 341 yards after halftime, amassing the total on 41 carries and scoring all six of his team’s touchdowns in Wheeling Park’s 42-35 victory over UHS at Wheeling Island Stadium.
“When he gets in the secondary, he’s both physical and fast,” Patriots’ head coach Chris Daugherty said. “If you don’t get in front of him and stop his feet, he’s going to pull away.”
