Landon DeBeaumont threw for 147 yards and one touchdown and Jaysin Watanabe rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns as the Ridgefield Spudders opened 2A Greater St. Helens League play with 31-6 win at Hockinson.

Samuel Prior gave Hockinson an early 6-0 lead on a 52-yard touchdown run. But Watanabe’s 11-yard touchdown run later in the quarter put Ridgefield up 7-6.

Brian McLemore’s 24-yard touchdown pass from DeBeaumont put the Spudders up 14-6 at halftime.

Vincent Dollens and Watanabe added touchdown runs in the third quarter to help the Spudders pull away.

DeBeaumont completed 10 of 14 passes. McLemore had five receptions for 96 yards.

Leniel Sutton rushed for 52 yards on 18 carries and Prior rushed for 57 yards on five carries.
