The West Virginia University football team has hit the road to Kansas for its Big 12 opener.
The Mountaineers have won their last two league openers, including a 32-28 victory over the Jayhawks last year in Morgantown.
West Virginia has started conference play against Kansas in four of the last eight seasons, including two of the last three.
WVU is 3-1 against the Jayhawks in conference openers.
The Mountaineers are coming off an emotional 31-24 overtime victory over Pitt last weekend, while Kansas was off last week after a 42-31 loss to Missouri.
