PHILADELPHIA — Eagles rookie safety Andrew Mukuba responded to defensive coordinator Vic Fangio’s critical feedback with a statement performance in Week 2.

Fangio told reporters last week that Mukuba played “okay” in his NFL debut against the Cowboys but had a couple of coverage busts that hurt the defense.

“Looking for him to improve this next week,” Fangio said on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Fangio’s wish came true this past Sunday, when Mukuba made game-changing plays in a victory over the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

With just over 13 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Mukuba swung the momentum in Philadelphia’s direction by intercepting quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the end zone and returning it for 41 yards . A touchdown pass would have given the Chiefs a seven-point lead (20-13)
