Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck (11) looks toward the bench against the South Florida Bulls during the third quarter at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The Florida Gators (1-2) and the No. 6 Miami Hurricanes (3-0) meet Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NCAA football odds around the Florida vs. Miami odds and make our expert college football picks and predictions for the best bets.

Miami leads the all-time series 30-27-1, including a 41-17 rout of the Gators in The Swamp Aug. 31, 2024. Since Sept. 6, 1986, the Canes have won 8 of the previous 10 meetings, including the Sugar Bowl Jan. 2, 2001, and the Peach Bowl Dec. 31, 2004.

After the Gators routed LIU of the FCS 55-0 in the opener Aug. 30 in Gainesville, it suffered a home loss on a walk-off field goal by USF Sept. 6, falling 18-16, while dropping a 20-10 loss at LSU last Saturday. Against FBS opponents, Florida is 0-2 straight up and against the spread (ATS), while the Under is 3-0 in the past 3 outings.

Florida QB DJ Lagway is coming off a horrific showing in Baton Rouge. He was 33-of-49 for 287 yards and a TD, which isn't that bad, but he was picked off 5 times.

The Hurricanes have won marquee games against Notre Dame and USF at Hard Rock Stadium, and they're 2-0 ATS against FBS opponents with the Over cashing in both outings.

Against USF last weekend, QB Carson Beck threw for 340 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs, while RB Mark Fletcher Jr. ran for 120 yards and a pair of scores. Beck faced the Gators last season as a member of the Georgia Bulldogs. He was 25-of-40 for 309 yards, 2 TDs and 3 INTs in the annual game in Jacksonville against Florida, leading UGA to a 34-20 victory. He also beat the Gators 43-20 Oct. 28, 2023, throwing for 315 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs.

Florida at Miami picks and predictions

Prediction

Miami 38, Florida 20

Moneyline

We only need to look at common opponents to see where these 2 programs are. Miami (-300) pounded USF 49-12 last weekend at Hard Rock Stadium as a 17.5-point favorite, while Florida lost 18-16 on a last-second field goal at home against USF.

The Gators just aren't at the level of Miami, and subsequently, rival Florida State, in the Sunshine State revival.

That being said, you can't risk 3 times your potential return on a straight-up wager. As part of a parlay, that's quite OK, though.

PASS.

Against the spread

Play MIAMI -7.5 (-110) in this rivalry game in South Florida. With the way Florida has sunk like a stone the past 2 weekends, it's actually surprising that this line isn't a little higher. Take advantage.

Is 'The U' back, officially? That remains to be seen. Lately, the Hurricanes have been very good until a hiccup or 2 late in the season. Look for Miami to get the job done on its home field in front of a raucous crowd.

Over/Under

OVER 50.5 (-115) is a strong play in this battle of rivals.

The Canes have cashed high in both games against FBS teams, while going for 47.0 points per game (PPG) in the previous 2 outings.

The Gators have struggled offensively, though, going for just 13.0 PPG in the past 2 games, and the defense has allowed 12.7 PPG in 3 games, cashing low in each contest. However, look for Beck and the Canes to do most of the heavy lifting.
