New Delhi, Sept 20: New H-1B visa rules, including a $100,000 annual fee, have been introduced by US President Donald Trump, which former G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant claims will stifle innovation in the US while benefiting India’s tech sector.

Trump stated that the fee aims to incentivize the hiring of American workers, while an additional executive order introduces a gold card visa option for significant fees.
