JEFFERSON CITY, Mo - The Missouri Department of Conservation is inviting deer hunters, landowners, land managers, wildlife watchers across the state to join an upcoming deer management open house.
The department will be hosting these open houses across the state through mid-October. Attendees will be able to talk with department staff about deer management, regulations, impacts of chronic wasting disease on the deer population, and managing private land for deer.
All open houses will be held from 4 to 8 pm with no registration required. Local open houses will be September 30th at Stoney Creek Conference Center in St. Joseph, October 1st at Litton Agri-Science Learning Center in Chillicothe, October 2nd in the Lone Jack Civic Center, and October 7th at the Macon Expo Center.
