ALLENTOWN, P.A. (WSYR) -- Despite Syracuse's 8-1 win over Lehigh Valley on Friday night, the Mets were eliminated from making it into the playoffs with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre clinching the International League second half title. The Syracuse Mets dominated in their in over the IronPigs. Jared Young, Carson Benge, and Jose Azocar pushed ahead to 3-0 in the fourth inning with a single and back-to-back triples. Luke Ritter drove home a RBI single to make it 4-0 before Jett Williams crushed a two-run home run to make it 6-0.

Syracuse continues its six-game series against Lehigh Valley with game five on Saturday night. Right-hander Justin Hagenman is scheduled to start for the Mets with right-hander Gabe Mosser set to go for the IronPigs. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
