(KFVS) - Rain chances are increasing over the weekend and heading into next week.

Some scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today, but the chances are slight at about 30 percent.

Afternoon highs will be mild in the low to mid-80s, with more fall-like temperatures as the weekend continues.

Sunday’s highs will be into the upper 70s to low 80s. This trend looks to continue into next week.

It will feel a bit muggy as well, with higher dew points across the Heartland.

Overnight lows will be in the mid-60s.

A pattern of scattered rain and thunderstorm chances also continues on Sunday and through next week.

There is a 40 percent chance of rain on Sunday and a 50 percent chance through Wednesday.

Heavy rainfall is possible.
