EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) - The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board approved $955,113 worth in grants for agricultural diversification and rural development projects.
A total of $60,000 will go to Edmonson County.
The County Agricultural Incentives Program, also known as CAIP, provides Kentucky agricultural producers with cost-share assistance on practices to allow them to improve and diversify their current farm operations. It covers a total of 11 incentive areas, all related to agriculture.
Edmoson County will be receiving $50,000 for CAIP and $10,000 for YAIP, which is the Youth Agricultural Incentives Program. This encourages youth to engage in and explore agricultural opportunities.
