Back-to-Routine: Smart Weeknight Dinners
September is here, and that means back-to-school, after-school activities, and evenings that feel way too short. Today we’re talking about fast, healthy weeknight dinners that make life easier—and still taste great.
Dinner doesn’t have to be fancy—just balanced. Look for the “magic trio”: protein, produce, and a whole grain.
That could be grilled chicken, frozen broccoli, and a microwavable brown rice pouch.
Stir-fry using frozen veggies and pre-cooked chicken strips with a roll.
Whole grain pasta with meatballs and a side salad.
I also like to try and get ahead. To do this, try batch-cook shredded chicken or ground beef on weekends to use throughout the week.
Keep a few staples on hand—like canned beans, frozen v
