CLEMSON, S.C. (WSYR) -- Heading into enemy territory to take on Clemson, Syracuse made a statement in the first half on the road. Steve Angeli was shaken up on the first drive of the game, but was able to connect with Justus Ross-Simmons for the first touchdown of the game. Special teams kept the momentum going, converting the onside kick which resulted in a Syracuse field goal to take the early 10-0 lead. The Tigers responded shortly after to to make it a three point game.
The Orange turned on the complimentary football, Will Nixon brought in the nine-yard touchdown to push SU ahead 17-7 and the defense shut down Cade Klubnik to give Syracuse's offense the ball back.
