CLEMSON, S.C. (WSYR) -- Heading into enemy territory to take on a newly unranked Clemson, Syracuse made a statement on the road stunning the Tigers with the 34-21 win. Despite the win, the Orange suffer a huge loss on the offensive side of the ball with Steve Angeli leaving the game in the third quarter with a left foot injury.
SU came out swinging in the first half. Steve Angeli was shaken up on the first drive of the game, but was able to connect with Justus Ross-Simmons for the first touchdown of the game. Special teams kept the momentum going, converting the onside kick which resulted in a Syracuse field goal to take the early 10-0 lead.
