DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) -- Dothan police responded to call at around 3 a.m. Saturday morning about a man slumped over in the drivers seat of a car at a stop sign.

According to Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd, another driver called it in and officers responded to scene on West Powell Street near Herring Street. Police found the man unresponsive and not breathing with his car still in drive and his foot still on the brake.

Police immediately pulled the man out of the car and began CPR but the coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

Coroner Byrd says the man was approximately 41 years old and District Attorney Russ Goodman also sent his body for an autopsy due to to his age and no clear evidence as to how he died.
