SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating after receiving an incident report regarding Shoally Creek Elementary School.

Deputies said the report came from Spartanburg County School District 2. The district’s report alleges that a teacher spat on and kicked a student.

According to deputies, the teacher involved was a contracted worker through a third party and not an employee of the school district. Deputies said the school district has ended its relationship with this worker and that the worker will not be returning to the school.

Deputies said an update will be provided when the investigation is concluded.
