SHREVEPORT, La. - The final Block by Block neighborhood sweep took place Saturday in the Broadmoor neighborhood of Shreveport.

Volunteers arrived early to get set up with Shreveport Green to help clean up debris and pass out informational surveys to residents.

Mayor Tom Arceneaux encourages residents to stay tuned for the next step of the Block by Block initiative, saying the city is committed to expanding and strengthening the program in the next phase of neighborhood projects.

The Block by Block initiative focuses on targeting resources in high-need areas one block at a time. Each neighborhood will have a tailored improvement plan.
