SHREVEPORT, La. - The public was invited to Olive Street in Shreveport for a Community Paint Day hosted by the Highland Center Saturday.

Volunteers helped create a vibrant new mural for the section of Olive Street directly outside the Highland Center.

Organizers call it a way to bring art into public places while giving artists a chance to leave their mark on the city.
