LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Humidity levels are about to increase starting Sunday, and that will lead to the return of spotty storms next week.

Southerly winds will increase humidity on Sunday. This may allow some spotty storms to get going as early as the morning hours near or south of I-10, and then later in the day for areas farther north. With storms looking isolated-to-scattered in nature, there should still be plenty of chances to head outside. However, it looks like we’ll need to keep a closer eye on the sky for those outdoor plans.

Remember, you can use the First Alert Weather App to track any storms near your location. Highs still should reach the upper 80’s to near 90 degrees.

Later next week it is possible a weak cold front could approach our area, but don’t get too excited. E
