BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Next 24 Hours: As we head into your Saturday evening, First Alert AccuTrack shows a few isolated thundershowers popping up across Central Alabama. Most of us will continue to stay dry and warm this evening though. Sunday morning will start off mild and quiet before a First Alert for a better chance of much-needed rain during the afternoon. A passing disturbance will help scattered showers and storms to fire up during the heat of the day, producing heavy downpours and cloud-to-ground lightning. Remember: when thunder roars, go indoors! Before any storms manage to develop, highs will likely climb into the low to mid 90s again.
