BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The North Dakota Industrial Commission announced the Grain Storage and Facility Rebuilder Program from Bank of North Dakota will be expanded.

The program, launched on July 1, provides loans to farmers and ranchers so they can replace infrastructure, such as grain storage, livestock barns, machine shops, storage sheds, and irrigation pivots that were lost or damaged in the storms that took place on June 20 and June 21.

The program is expanding to now include Agricultural producers also impacted by the August 7 and August 8 storms. “The severe weather events of this year have significantly impacted some of our ag producers,” said the Industrial Commission in a joint statement obtained by KX News.

The program has so far distributed just over $17 million to 65 produce
